Summer Rewind

To start....I have alot of adventures from this summer! I need to catch everyone up. First off, I moved back from California in April just in time for summer in Utah. Which I might add, I love! There are so many things to do here in the summer. Everyone gets so excited around here for summer, as I am sure everyone does. For me, I have found my niche here in the summer. I love the Farmers Market for one. Every Saturday morning all the vendors and farmers set up an open market and everything is so cheap! I get so much good stuff. Last year I made my own salsa, rasberry shakes, and created a new concoction of rasberry pancakes...A HIT! Don't get me started on the market, I will talk for days about it. For those of you who don't know...I love to cook and I love to cook healthy meals. SO the market is something I look forward to. Summer to me also means shedding those winter pounds and running running running! This year I talked Eric (the boyfriend) into running the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 5k run. It was great and very inspiring. Many people that participated, wore the names of survivors and those who didnt survive on their shirts. There were also many women there with bald heads from the chemo. So the run was very rewarding and extremly inspiring. As some of you know or not, I have also been personal training. IT has been AWESOME! Fitness and diet are my passion and I am happy to say I am finally pursuing it! I have been working with a trainer, Surba, for the entire summer. He has been a great mentor and teacher to me. I train a group of models and actors on Monday nights and it has been a great learning lesson and a ton of fun! I am looking to take the N.A.S.M (National Academy of Sports Medicine) exam soon. I first need to save up for it and it will take about 3 months to study for....extremly hard but I am looking forward to it!

Moving on to Mid summer....4th of July. This year for 4th of July I went with Erics family to there ranch. YES they own a huge piece of land
with these 2 huge homes that are equipped with a hot tub, 4 wheelers, a jeep, basketball court, and horses. Not to mention, Capital Reef an amazing national rock park is right there. So we had a great time we played 4th of July games (gunny sack races, pole balancing, pass the apple, sprints, wheelbarrel races and find the frozen sock). The games were great, his family is fun ,and they are great cooks...we ate like kings for days! Good times. Afterwards Good Ole' Aunt Susan came for a visit with the troops. We had a great time, all 5 of them stayed in my one-bedroom apartment. It was fun, I also got an air conditioner, a vacumm, a food chopper, a crock pot, a toaster, a microwave, and a ton of love on their visit. We saw the tabernacle choir rehearse, went to the waterpark, and took a stroll around SLC by way of carriage. In conclusion...there there have been summer concerts, movies in the park and Still to come Michigan Trip...1 Year Anniversary...Triathlon!!! Hold on to your pants...cuz this is gonna get good:)
