Home Sweet Michigan

I just had a great trip to Michigan a few weeks ago. I brought Eric home to meet the troops! It was good visit. We were completly worn out after we got back, but well worth seeing all my friends and family. The trip started with a wild canoe trip in Grayling. We went canoing on the Au Sable river with Tommy's family. We had a good time and Eric had a good experience with Michigan mosquitos. While we were in Grayling, we had a chance to visit Grandma and Grandpa Wetherille and Uncle Joe of course! It was nice seeing there place, it looks beautiful...its like a summer get-away. We had a nice dinner in Traverse City and had a chance to get all caught up!

After the canoe trip it was CRUNCH TIME! I had Eric running around everywhere he didnt know what to do with himself! We visited my Mom & Michael, Grandma and Grandpa Bates, my brother Todd & Heather & the kids, Julie & Terry, and Stacey...all in 2 1/2 days!!! It was crazy! Eric had a chance to golf with Michael and Tom. Heather and I made a superb dinner one night, and we got to play and hang with the new edition Dominc.

As a grand finale to our trip we hit up the Detroit. First though, we had to have middle eastern food in Royal Oak...MY FAVORITE!!! Next stop....TIGERS GAME! Eric worked his way through getting us the ultimate best seats from some sketchy detroit scalpers. Eric's friend who is a resident in Ohio came up for the game. We had dinner in Greek town...and ended too late to see my friends...so WE SLEPT AT THE AIRPORT! It was an awesome trip...but very tiring!
